Mission Statement of PFC Bruce Larson Detachment # 1242 of Marine Corps League

 

Members of PFC Bruce Larson 1242 Detachment of the Marine Corps League Inc. join together in camaraderie and fellowship for the purpose of preserving the traditions and interest of the United States Marine Corps, rendering assistance to all Marines and their families.

We promote the common good of our community and nation. It is out belief that a Marine is a Marine forever, and that our Espirit de Corps lives within us for all time. It is passed proudly from one generation to the next. The Detachment’s mission is to be carried out in a spirit that demonstrates love and respect for God, our Nation, the Corp, our Families and our Communities. We serve the communities of Cornelius, Davidson, and Huntersville in northern Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. We support Marine Corps League charities such as Toys for Tots, Semper Fi Fund, veterans who need assistance, USO, and the Boy Scouts of America.

Members of the Marine Corps League join in camaraderie and fellowship for the purpose of preserving traditions. Promoting the interests of the United States Marine Corps, banding together those who are now serving in the United States Marine Corps and those who have been honorably discharged from that service. Effectively promote the ideals of American freedom and democracy. Voluntarily aiding and rendering assistance to all Marines, FMF Corpsmen and their families. To perpetuate the history of the United States Marine Corps and by fitting acts to observe the anniversaries of historical occasions of particular interest to Marines.​
